BB-Would this law just apply to businesses in Baja? I've seen increasing references to "Baja" in restaurant names across the country (US) over the last few years. Have they copyrighted the word internationally so to speak?

Woody-no hypocrisy, you're humble.

Thanks soulpatch,
I saved the site in my school favorites. I should have never told Skeet/Loreto to make spell check his best friend. This pot shall pay for calling the kettle black.
P.S. Good luck with your sugery today Skeet, the viquitas and I will keep you in our best thoughts. Wishing you a speedy recovery and avoiding the big gill net in the sky. Lionel

The most common mistake ever:
Incorrect: "Me running in cirlces means that I am lost."

Correct: "My running in circles means that I am lost

Everyone everywhere always makes this mistake.

Vgabndo,
Good idea....maybe give some of the gold back and sell off all that corner real estate while they're at it....besides, bingo has died down a bit as a recreational/fundraising activity...

Communists/ Socialists fear religion as it takes thier idea of ultimate authority away from people in the government (the state) and puts it in the hands of our creator... so no one man is greater than another... all men are created equal, etc.

:?::?::?: Using that logic, David liked it :lol:

One doesn't have to be abused to recognize abuse.

Politics and religion thread... here we go:o :barf:

David, not all free-thinking individuals are pinko commies...., but thanks for the maps....I keep them on the right side of my desk, as I fear that if I place them on the left side they will lead me astray....and I will end up stranded at El Tomatal (sp?) with absolutely no charge....and I will be cursing and/or praying:lol:

Blanca. Gotta wonder about your source, and whether you were given the full picture. You reference the tourism board. But, since when do they have a final say?

Everyone recalls when the entire peninsula consisted of a single state known as Baja California. When they established BCS, they didn't change the name of Baja California to BCN. Given the wide use of the term Sudcalifornia, as noted, it may be that there has been some discussion of giving BCS a more singular identity. But, even if the Southerners want to change things, I cannot, for the life of me think why anyone in the state of Baja California would not be able to use "Baja" in a business name.

...and the abusers should be imprisoned for life. It just gets old listening to this clown trashing Catholicism every chance he gets. Maybe he's got issues....I don't know. Why not trash the ones who are sworn to kill Americans and Jews in the name of Allah?

dk:
would you rather trust your life to govt or a mythical creature? i prefer that the govt run air traffic control rather than leaving it to catholic church :lol:

"no one man is greater than another" and "all men are created equal" are not ideas i attribute to many christian, islamic and pagan religions. dk: if the pope is your supreme leader, are all men created equal? is the pope a man or your deity?
but such concepts do appear in democracy and communism

I don't believe the entire peninsula was ever one state. It was all a territory at one time, then the northern portion was made a state named Baja California, while the southern portion remained a territory. Some years later, the southern territory was changed to a state named Baja California Sur.

Bajahowodd: My source is a local guy, since no one else heard about it, I will investigate further.

On a different note: Did you guys know that Mexico used to be called NEW SPAIN ? I didn't.

Now, someone mentioned communism and socialism - can one of you tell me what the difference (if any) between the 2 is ????? Les thinks they are the same and I think they MUST be different - otherwise why have the 2 terms ...but that is no explanation and I guess I was sleeping during this part of history class.
