Now if you want to talk about snakes, a cottonmouth is born with a bad attitude. They rattle their tails like a rattlesnake and will go out of their way to bite you.

I've often felt that Skeet has done much more in his mente than on the ground. I hope this is one of those times.

That was about the Braceros singing that "Guadalajara" song day and night, wasn't it? White folks thought it was a call to rape the bosses daughter.
Sure....I know all about it.

Back to Snakes!

There was a Study done many years ago ,before the Endangered Specie Poop concerning the "Shedding' of the Snakes outter coating or Skin.

Does anyone on this Thread know "When and Where" this study??

I am interested in the reasoning of "Why does a Rattler "Shed" his Skin and obtain another rattle.??

Were they Pachucos? There were a lot of Pachucos in Los Angeles. Kinda hard to tell what color they were....big floppy hats, baggy clothes and all.
I'll bet that's what they were, all right. Pachucos.

This is all new to me, Skeeter. I do appreciate the history lesson.

Dennis: I will bet that you did not know that here was a Communist hdg. Office in Villa Constitution until about 10 years ago and that you do not know who was the Head of the Communist Party in La Paz, his position and his connection to Loreto.

Take a shot Dennis, see if you can come up with a photo or the Answers. Stop Talking and start Walking the Walk!!!

This is the kind of reckless, irresponsible flocking with nature that has resulted in Killer Bees, Pythons in the Everglades and may release Nile Crocodiles into the Amazon. When I lived on Cozumel, there were zero snakes. Then a movie company released Pythons instead of taking them with them when they finished filming. Now they have multiplied and are decimating the local wildlife.

Alligators in NYC sewers is probably apocryphal though...

All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.

Skeeter, snakes shed their skins as they grow out of them -- imagine a big old rattler or gopher snake inside his baby skin and you'll get the idea. Knowing that, you can see that the animal sheds, grows out of the thing at the rate of growth of its specie and its particular growth rate vis a vis the amount and kinds of food it eats, the calories it uses over time to move about, mate, give birth or aestivate. So two rattlers of the same sub specie, the same age, could have different numbers of buttons because of these variables. In the zoo, should be about the same.

Skeet, it's been an interesting journey watching your mental capacities decline over the years. I actually believed this thread for a while today, but after thinking about it and thinking about all of your posts on this board the last 8 years, I realize you're just a crazy old coot. Not many like you left amigo. Keep thinking about those imaginary snakes that you transplanted and keep posting.

Thanks Osprey:
I was aware of some of that infromation.
There is some indacation that in certain areas, the snakes only shred once every two years instead of every year. I am trying to verife some of that information.
I am also looking into any info on "Rabies' Rattlers. None have come up so far, just the Skunks.

Thanks again Osprey, but just look at the Nuts I have to go through to get some Honest Info.,, What a Life this new Generation must lead, I feel so sorry for them and their children.
Oh! well they will figure out some way to get the Rich Folks to pay for their Welfare.
