I'm hoping to make it your way with the family in July, and depending on time/weather maybe over to Mulege and Loreto.

I think you have to accumulate 25 posts before you can add an avatar.
I put up some photo posting info on another thread for you. Here it is again:

Hola RacinRon, may you find one more reason for more travels into Baja after each and every trip you take to Baja. Take any oppurtunity you get to meet up with other Nomads and you will find as I have over the years all are interesting characters. Welcome to Baja Nomad RacingRon and NoseRider! As a former co-driver in the Baja 1000, pit team member for Los Campeones and Baja Pits and spectator... I would like to read and see your stuff!

Here is the scoop on how to show your photos here on Nomad, and about resizing them to not be over 800 pixels wide...

How myself and many others here add photos to our posts... and why it is necessary to not go over 800 pixels in width when using an off site hosting page (like Photobucket). Only use the 'Browse' button if a photo is on your PC that is UNDER 50 kbs. in file size.

The following was posted in another forum...

www.photobucket.com and when you load the photos from your PC to Photobucket, PLEASE do so at 800 pixels or less (per Baja Nomad request)... 640 works best for most. >>>

If you're attaching an image, the file size needs to be under 50 kB. You can also reference a photo from a third-party site (such as a photo-hosting site like photobucket, etc) by using the button.

While there is no file-size limitation, please keep these photos to no more than 800 pixels in width (currently).

Avatars must also be hosted at a third-party source, and are referenced by their URL address.

Thanks.

As Emerald Dawn stated... a photo posted here that is over 800 pixels wide will stretch the screen and require sidways scrolling.

I know Roger is trying, but when you upload from your PC files to Photobucket... remember to click 'Customize your upload options' (link in blue at top of pop up you get when you click 'upload now')

Then pick 640 x 480 (I recommend) for a large, but not full frame image here. I only use 800 x 600 for maps or satellite imgaes usually for max. detail viewing.

Click SAVE... then upload your photos to Photobucket... Use the 'IMG' code and paste that link right here with your text/ captions... You can post several photos but I think no more than a dozen per post is wise.

Here is the same image at different sizes, up to 800:

160 pixels wide

320 pixels

640 pixels

800 pixels

The standard Photobucket upload size is over 1000 pixels wide, that is why you need to pre-select a smaller size before uploading photos that you want to share here or on other forums that don't automatically resize images.

welcome to the fun! stop by la bocana sometime - it takes 1.5 hours once you leave the highway 1 exit to Punta Abreojos ..... we are VERY REMOTE.

from here you can go north to bahia asuncion and meet a lot of folk too via the coast drive. right now it happens to be in good shape.

Come visit La Bocana

Some things have changed, and some remain the same...

In 1978, I got my Subaru 4WD wagon with 13" tires from Mike's Sky Rancho south to El Coyote and Meling's Ranch, then drove up to the little observatories at 9,280 feet ASL. Where I am standing now is Mexico's largest telescope:
