So I'm confused. There is now another category called READY, in addition to SENTRI and regular-people-lanes.
Since I have a brand spanking new PASSCARD with chip, which is the READY lane northbound at San Ysidro?
Last crossing was April 2012 just a major construction was getting underway.
I already know about the new southbound entry into Mexico. |
Remember the old way to avoid the Gringo Bridge to Nowhere by going over the river and coming up Padre Kino? That's the Ready Lanes now. If you're
coming off the free road, just go over the river and make a left at Padre Kino. If you're coming up the toll road, follow signs for Paseo de los
Héroes / Zona Río. Then at the scissors statue, make a left (go three quarters of the way around), then straight through the first circle, then left
at the next circle onto Padre Kino.

Maybe a month ago? The last I checked they were still allowing the merge. Has that changed?

I have not seen the Padre Kino route open to Ready Lanes for several months. Wish they would open to ease return to San Diego for my guests.

Hmmmmm. That is my usual and preferred route coming through town instead of coast road.
So it's still open?
Just not to the READY lanes?
