today was auction day - we went to 2 auctions-one in Bath and one in Binegar. I love the name Binegar since it rhymes with Vinegar
I have mixed the pics up but both auction viewings were interesting - one had more furniture and the other had more "things"
enjoy the show:
THEY HAD THE MUSIC BOX PLAYING and a lot of albums to go with it: #313
sewing kit:
it is upside down but it is a very old beautiful volume of SHAKESPEARE
Some grandma had an album of probably 50 postcards - birthday cards etc
tea anyone? I don't drink tea and I think I am considered remarkably odd!
BOOK TITLE - THE COMPLETE ANGLER:
THIS WAS ONE OF TWO IN THE BATH AUCTION AND I UNDERSTAND THEY SHOULD FETCH A PRETTY PENNY BEING ONE OF THE EARLIEST DUTCH CERAMICS:
WE ARE VERY LUCKY AS THEY WEATHER HAS BEEN COOL, NOT COLD. SOMETIMES CLOUDY BUT BUT NOT RAINY.
IT WAS SUCH A RELAXING DAY - MORE PICS SOON ON THE PUB WE ATE AT!

Thanks, Blanca...
The attempted fetch prices seemed very reasonable.

Street is the name of the village closest to where we are staying. It is quaint and small. Just a bunch of ma and pa shops, which I love!
A one road town, here looks toward the other direction
Typical British cap for the new sports car Les bought!
And the flowers are lovely

After each country, I like to think back to what my overall feeling was and here goes:
southern England is beautiful in that it is so green, lush, full of layer upon layer of history
stone age
roman
modern day
southern England means pubs, pasties
