Mood: Needing Baja!

Man, were we ever lucky to have the dads we did, whether for a short time or long. I spent a lot of time with dad in the woods and on the water. Neither he or I were very lucky with fishing in those days, but it was the time together that mattered. There were no bad days.
Roger, thanks for sharing the picture with the Coleman stove. The sight of those nesting pots and pans brings back many memories of dad making us outdoor meals! Thanks again everyone for sharing.

Thanks, Lionel

I have the chef's knife as well, I'm sure these are older than I am. They are wrapped in an 1960's era Bakersfield newspaper. The only time I use them is when we rent a cabin somewhere, I know the cutlery will be crappy.

Mitchell 300, a legend, have a 2 pc, 6' glass Fenwick spinning
rod, 1-4 test, 1970, I'm old enough to have bought it new,
just looking at that rod brings back backpacking memories.
Don't let time become a factor, and miss out on telling someone
how you feel
