Most everything you see on TV, especially ads, action shows and movies is mostly fake. It's done in a controlled environment and with computer
animation and/or manipulation. For example do you really believe that Jeep running thru deep show high in the mountains. I saw a TV show, McGyver
(sp), where they take off from the bad guys in a car (Camry I think) and the bad guys are shooting at them and the bullets are bouncing off the rear
bumper as if the bumper was hard steel. I had to laugh at that.

Where were you in 1966?
I was 8-1/2 and on my way from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas in a Jeep Wagoneer.
Pavement ended north of Colonet and didn't begin until south of Constitucion.
Had to catch my first dorado off Cabo, too!
As soon as I could, when I was 16, I drove myself through Baja and over the Gonzaga Grades.
Here I am in April 1974 at Agua de Mezquitito, a historic waterhole, between Puertecitos and Gonzaga Bay...
I am in photos to validate what I write about is often from person experience in Baja going back over 50 years.

David, Many of us have been to Mexico for many years. Myself, before you were born... but do not have a need to constantly put our pictures
before every one.. to each his own. Your pictures do not give you a lock on knowledge.

Until some of the old goats who have been going to Baja since the earth cooled start contributing as much information as DK, we will in the meantime
just have to continue to rely on DK for good Baja scoop.

Yes, you will probably continue to rely on DavidK. Some people learned that the more you put on the internet the more you risk having your life
bared before the world...some of which can be very embarrassing. I could give examples but would be banned from the site. Best that is left for the
other side, which I avoid, along with spilling my life's history on NOMADS.
So yes continue to rely on David.

It's about sharing and caring and not hiding behind a keyboard so you can take swipes at people and not be man enough to talk off line to settle
differences.
Ralph I have tried to be nice and so far all you want to do is take shots at me for sh*ts and grins. Enough people who have bothered to meet me like
me and my work, so it is for them that I won't let you chase me away.

David, I have pretty much left you alone for a while. I was just explaining why I do not post family pics or pics of myself, etc. I never brought
your family into this. You did. You see this is why things on the internet are dangerous. Now I have to review all my accounts to see what is
publicly.

Apparently that's all that needs to be said then.
Time to move on.
BTW... nice video DK.

Thank you! I will continue to offer data I collect on my trips south or from my research at home, in hopes that it encourages others to go to Baja and
enjoy the land and improve the lives of the people who live there.

Nice video David, and two of my favorite places--Borrego and Baja! Haven't had the time for long Baja trips of late so Borrego has been my go to
spot, amazingly close to the SoCal megalopolis yet you'd hardly know it.

Thanks, Steve. Yes, Robert did a great job with such little filming time with me out there.
What is your go-to 'desert' since you moved to Texas? Guadalupe Mountain?
