“ I think your assessment of winter campers being majority Mexican nationals is as off as your spelling of the towns. :D Semana Santa is a different story. I saw La Paz was going to close their beaches but haven't heard anything about Mulege and Loreto”

Yes, incorrect spelling! I will have a very stern talk (in English) with Siri about that! She insists that “Loreto” has 2 “Ts” and “fixes it” when you’re not looking!

Having driven through and around that area during Sermana Santa and other times of the year, in my opinion a lot of the transient campers and road traffic was primarily Mexican Nationals.

We will be passing by the area the first of next month. We’ll post a report with pictures. (Thanks, DK!) As a result of Mexican Nationals being a majority of the travelers we pass, they are a majority of the people we see “watering the plants” along the roadside.

In the Cerritos Beach area pump trucks circulate emptying RV holding tanks. I can’t speak to other areas. Goat is correct in stating that some long term beach campers are not as “fastidious” as they could be, no group excluded from this observation. The “solution” (burning the trash) creates its own problems as noted here!

David,
My reading comprehension skills are pretty good..... even noticed your dig at Canadian nationals jamming the beaches.

The issues at hand seem to be over-exposing places through viruses like "overlanders" and internet posts making secret spots not so secret.

A tune you probably will like:

I have an image of the area that's damn good. But why show it and attract even more people. Especially ones that set off fireworks on that lovely beach.

Ged, you can't get anymore over-exposed than wall-to-wall campers (flying the maple leaf)... and that is not a jab... just a fact of life. It wouldn't matter to me what country vacations there, if Brazilian flags then that is what I would report. Canadians are some of the nicest people, and very polite, too. Well, at least all the ones I have met! ;)

David,

Canadians are far more protective of the environment at home. (Especially in B.C.) That and the temperature difference (Yes, I have camped in Canada, frost and all!) is why they go south. Currently Canadians are shipping there RVs across the border and then flying across to continue south in the US and Mexico!

Who is the a$$hole, the Mexican National who lit the fireworks or the Gringa who thought she had supreme authority while squatting at the entrance to the beach directly off the road.

To him, he felt like a foreigner was telling him to sit down and be quiet in his own country. Even when he wasn't making much noise. She basically said, I don't want to hear your make any noise on this public beach at all, this my beach.

Well, some Mexicans don't take too kindly to that. Personally, I'd never talk to one like they did to him. Maybe you would?

According to the article they go by truck or perhaps with a commercial driver. The border south from Canada seems open to both. The article stated that the owners fly access via air taxi. We haven’t seen too many Canadians going south on HWY5 but lots of Washington, Oregon and Idaho RVers!

There were quite a few Canadians that were forced to store vehicles in Baja Sur and fly home last year when the borders closed. There are others that do that annually to save drive time, and petrol dollars.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

You are all a$$hats. The lady wanted quiet. Normal want for someone camping in rural area. You and your buddies then purposely annoyed her (and did it from a distance like a coward). You, your friends, your family, surely were all giggling and snickering as you annoyed her. You are all $$holes. Doesn’t matter your nationality. A$$holisim knows no borders.

Here is a shot I took just for you last night. Outside of Vegas. How's the view from the basement?

Vegas is a chithole. Why would anyone want to go there? Most depressing city in usa. I spent a year there for a project. The city is absolute chit, chitty schools, chitty communities, unrooted people. The casinos are depressing malls for entertaining the masses of lemmings.

Sounds like you never got outside the city to see the lake and desert? Shot this a couple hours ago on a hike up a big wash.

Btw, if you don't like to play poker until 6am every once in a while you haven't lived much of a life.

Still waiting for that basement pic?

Shorty mcjizzy,
How do your short little stubby legs keep up with that dog on a hike? :?:

My patience for poker expires after an hour. And Gambling is stupid :light:

My house doesn’t have a basement :O

On a more serious note, how did you not have enough control of your life to avoid being sent to a place you despised to work on a "project" for a year.

Did this event somehow jade 'lil Goat's view of life? Talk to us.

Speaking of “The view from the basement”! Did you vote for replacing the statue of “Iron Felix” in Lubyanka Square in the recent poll?

too many territorial bozos this time of year, better in the shoulder seasons when you can have the place to yourself

yes you can camp on a portion of the north beach which is nice and usually empty, though if the winds blowing from the north its pretty chit over there
