He's doing it again

Dear Bajarunner -

Me-No, Minnow, Mean-No has a long, long, long, history of ill-thought out, drama-inducing posts like this. Do not take it personally.

It started almost three years ago with his anonymous "The girls are ruining the board". He spouts off every chance he gets. He has accused me of fraud, he predicted carnage and "trophy-truck enemas" http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=2349 when DK was going to lead a trip up Matomi canyon, and just a few days ago, on his post asking Margie where Punta Estero was he said:

So when Doug chimed in saying he had deleted the thread, did Me-No have the intregrity to say he was wrong?:lol::lol: (that's a "No")

Second guessing an incident that was not witnessed with people you do not know is reckless and makes one come off looking, "let's just say, less than credible".

I do see that Me-No has taken my suggestion and corrected his spelling from "Chow". Gee Michelle, maybe we should start training pigs.

I have been know in the past to take a Tad of Liquor : Many years ago while living with Enrique Murillo at San Nicolas, he and I would depart for the Isla before Dawn,as the light would allow i would pour us two large "Snao-On Coffee Cups" of Good Tequila, whereby upon reaching the Isla we would commence our Day of Shark fishing "Feeling no pain!"
On Doctors orders I do take a Dram or two of Christain Brothers Brandy aged in the large Vats located very near the Fresno Air Terminal.
At a later date while Loreto, I spent many a Night sitting on "Tio Don O'Neils' Porch consuming a good half a bottle of 'Scorsby" Scotch.
But Alas! Found that Doing {Flip-Flops} in an Airplane gave me a much better High and did not have those awful headaches and Stomach rumbles the next Day.

See what happens when you dare question anything anyone writes here. You get to be called all kind of names. Lots of fun. Then when you lower yourself to the level of your attackers, they turn it around, with the help of their mutual admiration society. This place isn't about the exchange of ideas and the search for truth and knowledge, it's about back slapping and gringo superiority.

Do you think Doug would have had the decency to explain to bajarunner that he was the one that deleted, whatever it was, that made him go off on me. The second or third time. Nope. Do I really care. Why should I. I travel farther in Baja, meet more nice people there, spend more time there, than most of my detractors here on this tread combined.:lol: Go back and read my words, well most of them before I started being sencelessly attacked. Bajarunner, as Jeans pointed out, they started attacking me for things that happened a long time ago. Don't have any illusions that they somehow cared about this situation other than the fact I was involved in it. For those open minded people, read my words, they are genuine. Bajarunners story doesn't quite add up. If they did he probably wouldn't have flown into a rage so easily. Then again it might have just been his, how dare you question me attitude of an ex judge. I guess we will never know as he refused to answer most of the questions I asked.

Jeans and M, I really would try to refrain from calling people PIG.:O

Now, if any of you I have offended really want to find me, I will be out on Punta Estero until September, playing in the surf, riding my motorcycles, exploring, fishing in the bay, or off shore in my new panga for tuna.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Thanks again to the nice people on board

Again, thanks for the kind words of support and understanding following the senseless ambush on my post.
Better not to respond otherwise
(except to say that I appreciate the promotion but I am not a judge, an ex-judge, nor an attorney. I had one class in bus. law by correspondence to get a broker's license, hated it. was asked to teach bus. law at the university when I was teaching but I passed up the opportunity.... not my line of work)
cheers to all the good guys, we are off to Yosemite, snow or no.
As Bajabus pointed out earlier in an e-mail to me, "snow keeps the beer cold" and Baja Vida insists on cold beer.

Skeets, you mentioned Fresno Air Terminal. My daughter is a United pilot stationed out of FAT. Small world.

I just wanted to say that I had to go up to
SD today, and the traffic was awful, wall to wall and a long line coming back into MEX.

So, everybody take care out there, and slow down.

Oh, we caught the mantinee (I'm almost embarrassed to say we went) to The Day After Tomorrow, and I'm not going to spoil

it for you, it wasn't exactly Jane Eyre, but anyways, see it if for nothing else, the funny parts about Mexico, you'll crack up !.

Tom (Me No)

Questioning something isn't (IMHO) causing the problem, it's the 'tone' of your so called questions. I think that is perhaps why the question has been raised that you may have a problem that you might need help with. You do seem to 'flip' for no reason, and without warning, get nasty and mean to total strangers. I have spent time with you around the campfire and you seemed to be a nice enough guy, that is why it is so confusing why you sometimes act as you do on the board. I hope that you have a good and relaxing trip and come back with a kinder, and calmer attitude. It's all good for you (I'd hate to have what I guess your blood-pressure must be lately.) Good fishing, Debra :)

Nail on Head!

I was going to say EXACTLY what Deb said but decided it wasn;t worth the effort. I am friends with people on both sides of our mutual "fence" and want to keep it that way.

Debs point is exactly right. It isn't what was said rather the way it was said. Even though we might feel something wasn't quite right with a complex post why blow it way out of proportion by looking for things that may not even exist?

Now pass the wine, please. I have a box of the finest Chablis you'll ever taste.

M!

I just reported your post above dated 5/28 at 9:07. This was totally inappropriate. Even if you have knowledge about someone's personal behavior it has no bearing on the current discussion. While we sink very low in some of these arguments, this is, like other posts, below the belt.

I too was surprised at the way minnow attacked the post that opened this thread and I identified with the vast majority who agreed with bajarunner. I wondered where minnow was coming from and what had prompted him to respond as he did.

But your public introduction of *************, even if you have knowledge of one, which I doubt you do, is a cheap shot.

You and BHL and MA and I and many others have been friends for a number of years and I have no wish to damage this relationship (I tried to U2U you but I am too stupid to figure out how to send one), but you are, for the second time, way out of line as a moderator.

You are not free, as a moderator, to speak with the same voice as the normal poster. The ten stars after your name, followed by the term Moderator give you a power that you have abused. You are a "parent" here to help Doug guide the rest of us in moderation. You cannot accomplish this by inflaming situations of your choice. If you want that privilege you need to resign as a moderator and then, please, feel free to say whatever you want.

M is only human, and there is far too much nasty stuff going on in this thread, IMO. However, I would have prefered to just see all of (that person's) posts be deleted rather than a verbal battle take place.
By the way, your Nomad clock is still on standard time... go to 'Your Control panel' then to settings to change to 'Mountain Standard Time' (which is the same as Pacific Daylight Time). You're 1 hr. off... missions to mars have failed over such minor details :-) :-O

A moderator has a unique and serious responsibility.

I also have to say that human or not the post Mike refered to made me feel uncomfortable also, not so much because of what it said but because of where it came from.

If a moderator cannot be absolutly impartial and seperate themselves from the fray then they need to rethink being a moderator.

Wow!

I stopped posting on the net prior to the end of the Amigos board. It got pretty bad on the Amigos board, the "David E windows disk soap opera" is one example that comes to mind. There were some great people for the first several years that I participated at Amigos, and I had a lot of laughs and learning experiences. I felt sorry for many of people that posted there towards the end though, there existence seemed very lonely and problematic. From being flamed for keeping my limit to eat, to the America bashing, it got kind of funky over there. Hell, I was even schooled by tons of people who hardly ever go to Mexico about driving at night and the wickedness of my ways for pointing out obvious things like crime and litter in Mexico

I miss the interaction with some of my fellow fishing freaks, soooo I decided to try again hoping things have changed.

I see that there is more politics and infighting than before, but heck, that can be pretty intertaining and good for laughs, as long as people do not stoop to the lowest levels of human fecalism.

Boy was that a mistake!!! If you accused me of **************, I would HAVE YOUR ASS, beleive me, one way or another.

Good bye.

I hear you. I emailed Deb a box of red and she's incoherent for now. (smilyface here but I'm too stupid to grab it)

If you go to the general discussion center forum of this page (not actually the name but you can figure it out) you can avoid all the non-Baja stuff, also valuable, that offends some of us. bajanomad has many pages you would enjoy that exclude politics etc. Find them and enjoy. If you get too p-ssed off Fred's board offers a tranquil compromise.

Good Morning Mike: A Gentleman Ever: it is no wonder that your Words are Kind an well Writtin!

There is a vast difference in the Posters on this Board and the Net as you well know!
Most all of the posters that fuss and fight have a very common Thread: that is to say that At times they cannot "control their Passions and Keep their Desires in Due Bounds'.

Through I do not agree with Barbara Striestrand's Politics, her song "People who Need People" says a Lot.

It sometimes Appears that there are people on both boards that are "Crying out in the Night for Help! Just to be Listened to!Just to Lighten their Load.

Youth is Impatient!

People who ned help

It is really sad to see people who need to be so nasty and rude to build up their own self esteem. People come to this forum for fun and to share information, and there is no need to behave the way that Me No did. A comment to M. Only 44 and having such problems? I have made it to 48, and have only had one minor operation on a knee. I must be doing something right. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I have not touched a post in months even though I have personally thought some sucked, they remained in the border of legal right of opinion. I did not even touch any of Minnows posts.
