This is a good thread, thanks for digging it up. I will need to check some of this stuff out, but can't currently because of work.

I like a little rock en español for the baja mood. Like ska? Check out Panteón Roccocó, Tijuana No! (featuring Julieta Venegas as lead signer), La lupita and Maldita Vecindad. Juanes is great for relaxing but still doesn't beat Maná.
