What happened between 2007 and 2009 is irrelevant on the grand scale of things. The Wall Street rips offs, inflated real estate bubble, bank scams, etc. had been going on for a lot longer than that, and it is very disingenous to attribute it to two years of cowardly Democratic control of Congress.

Sorry, but Repug thinking on politics (and many other areas, such as social issues) really gets my blood to boiling. Let's stick to Baja, shall we?

The political parties are about the same in how they treat businesses.

The political parties differ only in social policy (republicans want to govern what you do in your bedroom, prevent the poor from getting adequate health care, and nuke non-christians; democrats don't want to regulate your sex life, want to take care of the poor,, and love thy neighbors).

The fact is that the economy goes in cycles, and only the fed significantly influences anything thru money supply, interest rates, selling bonds, etc,... a little more or lesss taxes really does not change the economy.

Make your vote based on social policy, nothing else matters.

Enjoyed your post, Goat. We agree on the social aspects of government. But I was thinking that DK was just the opposite of what you stated with his response to my post.
He must like me more:lol:

93 in Los Cabos today, mid 70's at night. I haven't seen any cooling trend at my casa yet.

And just to be fair and balanced, it was sanquintinsince73 who started the political slant.

That being the case, I really look forward to the Obama boom, since GWB set the same course as Reagan, only more so. Should be spectacular!

We've been getting cool enough at night sleeping under the palapa to need to turn off the fan. Won't be long now before we can move back inside to sleep.
