This is how my Wednesday went:
1. Threw my back out building cabinets for my Baja cabin.
2. Sliced my right index finger tip a 1/4" deep on the sharp edge of a sheet of melamine.
3. Had an adjustment by the chiropractor at 2:00pm.
4. After the rack stretching, went to the grocery to get stuff for a beef burgundy dish my wife wanted to try. On opening the truck door in my driveway, the bottle of Hearty Burgundy rolled out a broke.
5. Drove back for another bottle.
6. When I got home, my wife said (and I'm not making this up) "Where's the beef?"
7. Drove back to the store and asked the checker if they found the 4 lbs of top sirloin I had trimmed and sliced by the store butcher but left at the check-out stand and they they did, thank goodness.
8. At 4:57pm turned on the game and my wife and son immediately grabbed the remote and changed the channel to the Sacramento Kings opener vs the Timberwolves. WTF???? Sorry dad, we've been waiting all year for the NBA and we have to watch the King's opener.
9. Got them to agree to switch to baseball at time outs and commercials so I never got to see a single run scored until the King's game was over and I saw the last two innings.
10. King's won and the Giant's won. Had three glasses of Gallo HB, took a whole Vicadin for back pain and went to bed. Slept well fur sure.

Went to the game last night with my 22 year old son. The home run landed about 15 feet over our heads. The Giants were so clutch! This is not my old Giants! I'm a little sore from all the high fives and my kid hugging and punching me.
Did you check out Tony Bennett? I Left My Heart In San Francisco and God Bless America. He tore it up!
It makes it easier to stick with my prediction...Giants in five!

11 to 7? all the "experts" predicted a low scoring game because both sides were starting with their "best" pitchers. :O

I agree. Texas must win tonight.

On the other hand the Giants must win tonight to capitalize on Lee's bad outing. Otherwise, they're almost back to square one.

The Rangers were outcoached yesterday. They should've pulled Lee out earlier. And Guerrero Negro was a real liability out there in right field. The Giants, on the other hand, had the good sense to not let Sandoval out into the infield.

This appears to be the nature of the Ranger's bullpen. They were scuffed up a bit in the Yankee series, too.

If the Rangers hope to avoid having to use them in crucial situations, they'd better start scoring runs earlier in the game.

Anything less than a sweep by the Rangers in Texas give the Series to the Giants.

Looking more like Giants in 6 now................

Another example of bad management.

Instead of applying a turniquet in the 8th inning, he just let the wound bleed. At least he removed Guerrero from the outfield - one game too late.

Lets see what the Rangers are made of. The next couple of games should tell.

I have just returned from China and while there my daughter kept me up to date on the playoffs and the first game via texting from the stadium. I actually watched part of one of the playoff games in Bejing broadcast in Chinese! Go Giants!!

Parts of China remind me of Mexico. (not Baja) I may go into that here later.

Boy, talk about your fair weather fans. Giants fan are all over this post during the first two games.

Then they lose...............and they're NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!

If the Giants lose tomorrow, you all will be letting 2002 creep back into your minds.

Don't know if you're referring to me - I was pursuing german browns with a flyrod this weekend. And they were accomodating.

We were able to pick up all of the action at the bottom of Stanislaus canyon. Sanchez clearly imploded and may not pitch again in the series I would think. Despite a starter that lasted only 2 innings the Giants only lost by 2 runs.

I thought tonight's game would be pivotal because Lee's probably going to take the next one and, had they lost, that would have swung the momentum completely.

But now it's pretty much over.

The Rangers completely shut down on 2 of the 4 games. Who could have expected that from those fearsome hitters, eh Hook?

Hitter's ballpark? No problem.

Umm...not really. i just have a life and only get on line when I'm at work (like now). Those great ranger hitters? The double Bush appearance is a definate jinx. It's not over til it's over but...
I'm putting the champagne in the fridge! Giants will prevail! I have tickets to game six but I don't want to use them. End it tonight!

Likewise, spent the weekend away from the TV, computer, missed game 3 but got home in time for most of game 4. The fat lady ain't singing just yet, but I think I hear her warming up.
