Sally, I'm not exactly sure where you are now. It sounds like you're at UC Irvine Med Center. I live in Carlsbad, Ca. just maybe 40 miles south.
Please call me if I can do anything. I have an extra bedroom if someone needs to stay or if you or anybody needs some transportation
I can be up there in less then an hour if I'm not at work. Call me for anything please........ 619 990 0270 cell # ......Dick Kashey

The latest, She has been moved to a room that monitors her heart(i'm thinking teletromy?) On Monday the blood bank kicks in and they will be trying to
find a match for her Platelets. She has lost so much weight, according to Amy, my youngest.Good news is, she walked today, from her room to the nurses
station. That is the furthest she has walked in weeks. Her Father is with her almost constantly. Her girls and I have bonded and are learning from each
other. The girls' Dad has been on a constant vigilance and taking the girls for overnite stays, which gives me time to walk, relax and get stuff
done.My shingles are healing.Only two other issues now, my Dad, who thinks he is married to Juanita, and my SO, in a neck brace and on Vicodin, and
drinking at least a sixer a day.I would like to know who coined the phrase"golden years".We need to talk...All in all, it is a heck of lot better
today than what it was when Juanita and I were in TJ losing precious time and looking for answers, two or so weeks ago.She knows she is in the best of
care with top notch docs now.She told me so today.Keep on praying amigos..it helps! Sally

Thanks for the up date Sally. That Juanita is where you and she believes she should be is so important to fight the battle. What ever path one takes,
believing is an all important element in healing, I think.
I was wondering how your Dad was doing. Is he living with you for now?
As my dear ol Dad use to always say, "Getting old aint for sissy's". Hang in there, the pendulum has to swing.
I am not real good at prayer, but when ever I walk by a church, which here is often, I stop at the doorway for a moment and ask La Virgin Guadalupe to
keep giving her strenght to Juanita, and I will continue to do so.

Sally,
I have personal experience with Cancer. Of course, everyone has their own pet remedies, offered with good intentions, so I won't give any. Juanita,
you, and the rest of you family will learn and do what feels best for you. The advice you were given here on the BajaNomad was good in regards to
expediting Juanita's entry into a hospital.
Just know that the exponential power of our collective good wishes and prayers are with you and are working. I am glad you are getting some relief
from bedside duty. Caregivers have a very difficult job. Bless you!

Sara, you are so rightin the beliving part, but this time it is fact, even better! And like you, I am not real good at prayer, but we all "pray"n our
own ways, yes?Thank you for thinking of us.Tony, The advice given here was good, but I had already done what was needed to do straight from TJ.What I
wanted to do a very long time ago when she first got sick.Straight to a good ER.Thanks for the kind thoughts.Abrazos, Sally

Sally,
Again I wish Juanita HEALTH, and any thing I can do to help out, more
than willing to do so. I met Juanita in Puerto Escandito, a few times,
She helped with fuel for my boat, and supplies back some years when
she was in charge of El Fuerte Sportfishing, I don't forget kindness.Which we
all should recall, if it is given freely, which she did, Great Lady.
Hope for the all the best,
Mike

Thanks Mike.I was wondering how you knew her.Was that when they lived at Tripui?I stayed there with them for some time.I loved that place.Yes, she is
an awesome woman. She is very scared right now, and missing being in charge of her life. How about a mail setup??Nomads could send cards or letters to
me .I dunno why I hadn't thought of this before. How safe is it to put my house addy here on the www?Not sure if the hospital would receive mail for
her.We have a PO box addy also, for biz, but it would work.

Suggest you use the PO Box if possible - and convenient enough for you.
