Then they do a "Best Bet for Jan 2015: Baja". The following weekend (last) I was told that Northern Baja was completely packed with surfers.
I do have to say that I was in the central region this past year between Christmas and New Years, which I really really hate doing. I drove from
Canoas to the Wall on dirt for fun since there weren't any waves. I'll say that 99% of the surfers I saw were at the Wall. Most (99%) were goons it

I laugh when you gringo surfers take your self righteousness and portable localism to baja. Why cant newbies go have some fun in baja too?

Lets face it....surfing ain't what it used to be. When you have boards sold in Costco and Home Depot, you know it ain't right!! My boards are now
"wall hangers". My wetsuit sits in the garage getting stiff along with my joints. I'll be 61 in April and I'm spending more time fishing than surfing.
I live close to great surf spots but the crowds kill me. I'm turning into a "couch surfer". Don't know if that's a good thing or not. I miss it. I was
last out in Oct and had a blast. Dawn patrol is manageable. I'll get one hour of good fun, then bail when all the moms and pops with the kids come.
Oooops, am I venting? Sorry! Well who invited me anyway!! I need my coffee. Later....
Happy Trails....

For the record I was being sarcastic about the going past K38 thing. (Sorta) That was just a running joke I had with my dad for a while. But the
problem is that SC locals are known for being the biggest a-holes in CA. I lived there for 10 years and was always respectful, never had any personal
run-ins but had plenty of vibe and stink eye even sitting inside picking off the left overs. So basically, they are the ones who deserve a little
reverse localism .
Surfing isn't the way it was that is for sure. Like the leash, Surfline has f-ed up surfing for this timeframe.

Gringo count is way up for us....we have never been busier.
There are still plenty of empty waves...you just have to work harder to get to them!

Hey goat, I don't think anybody is ready to go play in the freeway anytime soon. It's just if you were anywhere 30 years ago you know it's a lot
different than it is today.

Mulege is jammed packed with vehicles in town. Can't hardly get around for all the trucks, campers, etc. And certainly no parking. As of
yesterday.

It was crowded with traffic in 1975 as shown in this photo.
It's not changed much since the highway was built. Like everywhere, folks just like to complain. Hey, it's a national pastime.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
