Wouldn't that be a personal, private choice?

I know of the inter-changeability of the B and the V, but a Mexican would choose the V.
What are you? A practicing student?

Anyway, there's a Spanish language forum here. Practice your Spanish there. We are no longer impressed.

DavidE,

What a marvelous word picture. Like one of Russ or DianeT's beautiful sunrise shots or a good Pompano's travelogues. Well said, well said.

Dennis,

Did Lenny Bruce choose to be a junkie? Do dorado choose to hang under floating fauna? Do moths choose to immolate themselves on flames? Do we choose to waste ourselves on trivial pursuits till we can no longer tolerate the inertia? Will we die with visions of lost loves before us? Will we be greeted by Donald Duck at the pearly gates. These of course are the great mysteries of life and well worth pondering over cold cervesa and a fresh civiche. Salud!

Then again...maybe it's you, Uno, if you're going to take him seriously.
Doncha get it? It's Skeet being Skeet. Enjoy it.

Lo Siento Mucho Estimado Dennis, Pero...
I do not speak english for eleven months out of the year. And month twelve perhaps 29 out of the 31 days. Probably eleven out of 12 of my neighbors spell cebiche that way and it may be all twelve. I am impressing no one. And I thought this internet forum was about Mexico...donde la gente hablamos español.

LOLOL. Talk about "charged words" with "No Truth"!? (a) I don't think the "Younger generation" even knows what a commie or a socialist IS! (Hmmm, maybe you are older than I was thinking and are speaking of the Baby Boomers.) (b) What in the world do Tripper's remarks have to do with (i) being a Communist or Socialist or (ii) changing the USA?

I think the term, "Raping or Raped," has to be taken in a metaphorical sense rather than literal.
Rape, as in sexual assault, has never been mentioned or implied. I think it's disingenuous to dwell on that term for it's literal interpretation here in this thread.
Skeet may not get it, but I think you do and did from the beginning.
Yeah, and it's usually MEN who use the euphemism, throwing the term around loosely and lightly, because they don't understand what rape entails.

MsTerieus:

The way IFlyfish has everyone stirred up over such a Minor thing by suggesting we all "Group Up" and try to force some change is an example of "Groups, being led toward a certain Goal by a couple of Commies or Socialist such as the "Ecco Nuts, The Sierra Club,Left Wing Nuts, etc.

Probably true. None the less, the word has more than one meaning. That certainly doesn't diminish it's meaning when used in reference to sexual assault.
The word, used in proper context, is not ambiguous.

A Mexican with honesty and integrity might take offense at your blatantly racist comments. Or, he might take comfort in the knowledge that according to you, his dishonest countrymen have an excuse for their behavior... It's not their fault. It's just part of their 'culture'.

Hmmm,

Yup MsTerieus, it probably was late.

Yup Skeet, just rabble rousing about the Police Extortion in Ciudad Constitution on the ONLY Federal Highway between North and South Baja.

If you police in CC attempt to extort you please report the details to:

American Citizen Services

US Consulate General Tijuana

ACSTijuana@state.gov

Thanks,

Agree. Thanks for helping make my point, even though that seems lost in the current discussion. I must have been a woman in a previous life.
