Without a doubt, child endangerment. This guy should go to jail and the child taken away.

Bingo!!!! for some, but for me I don't really want to be involved in the demise of anybody for reasons so apparently dumb to me. (on THEIR part) which would REALLY mess up my vacation in Baja.

Bingo!!!!

Monkeys in a rat race, behaving as programmed,...

And some others hate bicyclists because the sight of fit people exercising reminds them of how fat and slovenly they are,... Causing fear and loathing to rise in their gullet, and like gorillas their genetically programmed response is to lash out at the person that triggered their complex emotions they cannot understand

Hey alcoholics:
This us quite a travelogue! Way better than any nomad has written in a while. http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/BajaTim
I guess those slow bikes travel at right pace to actually experience what they drive thru, eh?

"Have we any reports of accidents involving bicyclists on Mex 1?"

Dead men tell no tales.
And what relevance is the answer anyway? The problem is dealing with the imposed hazard. Evidently, drivers are adept enough to avoid the hazard and resultant catastrophe - just like goats and cows.

[And re:] "...slow bikes travel at right pace to actually experience what they drive thru, eh? "
Here are some excerpts from that cyclists blog:
"I spent the morning in the south end Starbucks. It is opposite Costco, and is just down the road from Walmart and Home Depot."
"... trying to get my Internet to work on my T-Mobile GSM cell phone"
"I spent the next hour reading my Kindle (the Battle of Lepanto, 1571
At the restaurant, I spent several hours on the phone to T-Mobile in the USA"
"I spent much of the ride listening to an Overdrive audio book (from Seattle Public Library) called The Last Lion, about Winston Churchill and WW2. It was fascinating listening to the political challenge faced by Roosevelt in getting the Lend-Lease Act through Congress in early 1941"

[OMG Yawn] Oh yeah, bike geeks rule. HA!

I'm curious as to what the difference is between a bicyclist, broken down car or a cow in the road around a bind curve? Anyone care to comment?
