Food donation for San Quintin
My friend Steve and I are leaving or San Quintin tomorrow, Wednesday. staying just a couple of days until Saturday. Hope to do some fishing. We are
going to go by Costco and buy a couple of the big bags of rice and beans. We'll also bring some clothes I have in the closed which I just don't wear,
some of it new. What is a good place to drop that off? It would be nice if I would just see a priest with the demonstrators and I could give it too
him. Good idea...bad?

You can ask someone where the church is to find out where it is. We have dropped off clothes etc at the church in Colonet on the north side where the
turn off for San Antonio del Mar is. I have not done so in San Quintin.

A couple more threads about this great place . And everyone who has stopped by there is glad they did. A number of nomads have left donations and
the need is ongoing.
If you would want Penny to meet you there that is easily arranged, or you can just visit on your own.

We found the headquarters for the strikers. They had set up a community kitchen and were feeding people. Lots of women in their native bright red
costumes. indigenous Mexicans. We felt good making our donation there. We just stumbled into it driving through SQ. We brought 100+ lbs. of rice and
beans from Costco.

Sounds perfect --- a donation that will be well used. I am sure it was VERY much appreciated.
