Thanks. Smooth concrete roads sure beat bumpy dirt roads in the city.

I'll be checking it out myself real soon. :bounce:

Richard,
Looks like some recent rain and runoff .... lots of green along the RiIO...

hope to be there in about 3 weeks just in time to go trick or treating..
with a margarita glass.....

I would surmise that no work has been don along the south side of the rio.... probably not gonna happen in my lifetime... keeps the traffic down toward the Jungle tho...
take care and see you soon

Great video

Your setup is very cool and I bet it will be great on the desert runs as well. I owe you a tall one or some more super coffee for this Ricardo.

Not to hijack toooooo much but I have the only property for sale on the beach at around minute 4 in this video. Only 4 easy minutes from downtown to the only beachfront building lot available in Mulege. All power, water, trash, internet, etc is available with the convenience of being in town combined with the quiet, isolation, unobstructed views, and being above the flood plain of that this perfect lot affords.

This video doesn't show the building lot because it is off the main road a few hundred feet to the left of the beach restaurant Almeja shown in the video.

Thanks Richard,

That is a ton of progress since I visited in Feb. Enjoyed the ride along! You need to sign up with Uber in case I need a lift the next time I'm around.

What a difference from when we were there in March. Glad to see that traffic no longer goes through Manuel's campground. I'll be back in Mulege later this month.

The south road is in very bad shape and no work is being done, but yeap, no traffic :)

Smooth road and LESS dust!

Lots of rain lately, in fact it has been thundering and lightning all day with dark clouds overhead. Nights have been cool and day temps are now perfect.

I was wondering who would notice my time machine, Further into the Future, (sp intentional) It is a Sony Action Cam, better sensor and less expensive than the GP, and shoots in 170 or 120 degrees. But the accessory roll bar mount sux, in fact both mounts, one sony and one Chinese, both allowed the cam to vibrate. I now have thru bolted it to the dash. If you are into cams, ck out Power Director video editing software... wow and wow!

Notice the single palapa near the beginning of the malecon? They are supposed to be building more there and there are new ones by the lighthouse, very popular.

No problem Max, but don't put the coffee in a paper bag this time :) Might as well give a plug to Keith also
http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=79930
his place is up the hill from where the car was broken down.

In the evenings, the Malecon comes alive with joggers, walkers and small gatherings. Lighting has been started, but no recent work.

Richard,
So would I be correct in the assumption that on the south side there is still no road from the Oasis past the Orchard, Leon's place to the concrete slab dropping to under the bridge???
and if I understand you, they have not plugged in the street lights along the new north side road.???

can't wait to hear the all night parties over there this winter... will have to turn up my sound system...

Yes, street lighting was started, some poles are in place but the wire is not buried yet. They have been installing the new lamps ( bulbs ) in town tho. They had super bright lights by my place, I could read at night with out turning on my lighting. My neighbor complained and they replaced them with smaller lamps. Perfect now.
South road details
From the Jungla to the lighthouse is questionable at best, flooded at high tide, eroded in several places. Doable with a quad, but a car will have trouble.
Taking a left, toward town from the Jungla, the road is too narrow for a car by Jannines place. Open from Bill and Judys to the Orchard.
From the Orchard to town is completely washed away, Sorry, Cervasa Fria, have not seen your place lately. Leon's house and the other house are at the waters edge now. It would be a huge, gigantic project to bring back access to town from the rio road. But with the new political party there is a chance.
No time shares or condos until Mulege can afford a street sweeper machine :)

btw, Zulema is working days now at El Candal, formerly Scottys and is glad to see more gringos around :) pics later

Compare/contrast. Here's a photo sphere of the old, washed-out concrete road, out in the rio:
